Outpatient Therapy Services:
Marlton Rehabilitation Outpatient Department is committed to providing
a friendly and professional environment that facilitates a positive
experience and excellent patient outcomes. Each of our highly trained
therapists design and provide individualized treatments which strive
to maximize function and independence. The therapy team is comprised
of:

• Speech and Language Pathologists

Our expansive therapy area has a wide variety of therapy equipment
and techniques available. The therapy department features:
• Large, well equipped exercise space
• Occupational therapy area
• Whirlpool room
• Therapeutic pool
• Private therapy area for individual evaluation and treatment
The outpatient department offers the following services and specialized
programs:
SERVICES:
Physical Therapy: Through exercise and
education, our therapists work to improve mobility, strength, range
of motion and decrease pain.
Occupational Therapy: Through exercise
and education, patients learn adaptive techniques that help them
overcome physical and cognitive disabilities. Our focus is to help
individuals become more independent in personal self-care and the
activities of daily living.
Speech & Language Therapy: Through
exercise and education, our speech therapists strive to improve
language skills and swallowing function, increase attention and
concentration abilities, and if needed, provide for alternative
communication systems.
Neuropsychology: Through evaluation,
testing, and counseling, our neuropsychology staff helps individuals
adjust to cognitive deficits, disability, problem solving, personal,
and family issues.
Aquatic Therapy: Provided in a therapeutic
pool with the temperature maintained at a comfortable 95 degrees,
this therapy is very beneficial to those individuals who may not
be able to tolerate a land based program.
PROGRAMS AND SPECIALITY SERVICES:
• Electrical Stimulation (Vital Stim):
We are excited to be the first in the area to provide this new
FDA approved therapy to those individuals living with dysphagia.
Electrical Stimulation has yielded great success and significant
improvement in patients’ swallowing capabilities. Our specially
trained, licensed speech pathologists utilize traditional therapeutic
techniques, along with the application of electrical stimulation
to weak muscles to achieve remarkable results, often within a
few treatments.

ACCESSING OUTPATIENT SERVICES:
All services require a physician referral and prescription. Once
this is obtained, the Outpatient Department will verify all benefits
